Diggin in the Dirt Special Guest

Today we had our special Digging in the Dirt guest at AoG!!
Ryan Mefford from Beast Mowed Lawncare came today and talked to the kids about diggin in the dirt.. He brought wildflowers for the kids to help plant and a pot for each classroom Preschool 1 to Prek 2 so they can see who's grows the fastest..

Mud Day 2013

We had so much fun at our very first Mud Day!  
It was such a success!!! 
The teachers had just as much fun getting muddy as the kiddos did!
Thank you parent's for allowing us to do this and supporting our Mud Day!

Get Well Soon

One of our friends in Preschool 1 had surgery last week and we are missing her so!!
Ms. Christie, Ms. Tessa and their class made a little something for Evelyn while she is out!!

Our Friends in Preschool 3 had lots of fun playing in the sun and sand!! 
It was almost like we were at the beach :)

While we all had a blast playing in the sun our Toddler One class had a great time doing a special art project..

We made colored sand with sidewalk chalk and salt!

Show and Share at AoG

Every week in Preschool 4 Miss Tori has "Show and Share" the kiddos bring in a show and share item that pertains to the theme or the letter of the week.
This week we had one of each..
A plant we can grow in the dirt...

Can you guess what the letter of the week is??
"X" so one of our friends brought it an X-Ray of his teeth!!

They were so excited to bring in their items and show them of!!

Showing the Teachers Some Love at AoG

Our teachers work so hard and we like to show them how much we appreciate them..
Today we turned our Staff Room into a Spa Room



Amanda Maness came and gave each teacher a massage..



Amanda is an AMAZING Massage Therapist.
She does all kinds of massage such as deep tissue, relaxation and pregnancy.
She also does scrubs, wraps and events.

We also had a SURPRISE visit from Miss Ashley.. Our Preschool 3 teacher who is on maternity leave and she brought her sweet little baby girl to see us!!

Growing Crystals in PS4

Miss Tori and her friends in Preschool 4 had a great time growing Crystals this week..
It only took them 24 hours!!

This experiment was not just about the crystals, but it also helped them learn there are 24 hrs in a day!!

We pick up a Grow Your Own Crystal's at Home kit and the kiddos LOVED it..

The Boro Duck Derby

The Academy will be at the Boro Duck Derby this weekend!!!
Saturday May, 18 from 1:00-4:00


What is the Boro Duck Derby you may ask....
The Boro Duck Derby is a great cause that helps raise money for the Child Advocacy Center. The Child Advocacy Center is a nonprofit agency that serves victims of child abuse, child sexual abuse, and drug-endangered children  along with their non-offending family members. In the last 13 years, the Child Protective Investigative Team consisting of the Child Advocacy Center, the Department of Children's Services, law enforcement, mental health counselors  and the District Attorney's Office have investigated and prosecuted over 8,000 child abuse cases in Rutherford and Cannon Counties.

Mother's Day Tea at AoG

Today we celebrated Mother's Day with a Mother's Day Tea at AoG.
We had refreshments and tea... and LOTS of fun!!
The kiddos really enjoyed having mommy here to celebrate mommies special day.
The kiddos made Mother's Day crafts to give Mom at the Tea.
