Decades of Fun!

This past week at The Academy Of Gateway, the theme has been "Decades". Dressing up as they would in the past decades, and it was anything short of a blast from the past! I can't express how much fun we had dressing up, so I'll just have to show you. 

It was a good time to see everyone's sense of fashion during this week. We enjoyed it, but it is back to the future we go.

We Wish You Well In Kindergarten

Our Academy of Gateway family and friends gathered to bid farewell to our "Big" kids. They grow so fast, it seems like in a blink of an eye they're leaving us for Kindergarten. We wish each child well in their future journeys.

Bug Safety

Playing outside is so vital for young children. It is a time to explore, play and enjoy nature. The only downfall is that we are exposed to new critters, some who wish us well and other not so much. This past summer in the southern tip of the United States has been the scare of Zika virus. It effects pregnant moms and can lead to serious health complications for the mom and baby.

Nonetheless, here are a few ways to prevent the Zika Virus and moving forward in keeping out little ones safe, we can be sure that we are spraying bug repellent and covering our bodies extremities. If you are worried about the virus, the symptoms include nausea, fever, rash, and joint pain. Seek professional medical help if you suspect  about the virus. Stay safe and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
