Frog Street Curriculum

Hi Everybody!

Here at The Academy of Gateway we use Frog Street Curriculum for our toddler through pre-k classrooms. It is built around four key cornerstones to provide a collection of activities that optimize learning and development for infants/toddlers all the way to pre-kindergartners. The cornerstones include:

  • Early Brain Development Research
  • Learning Domains
  • Conscious Discipline
  • Intentionality

Let's discuss more on what Conscious Discipline is. Conscious Discipline is a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional program that creates a learning environment where children feel safe and loved. From this foundation of safety and caring, children begin learning how to manage their emotions and interact appropriately with their peers.

The video below is of Dr. Pam Schiller, who is the senior author of Frog Street Toddler. In this introductory video, early childhood brain research expert Dr. Pam Schiller talks about Frog Street Toddler, an innovative program released in 2014 for ages 18-36 months.

Meet Max!

Max is Frog Street's newest puppet; he is a classroom favorite here at Gateway! Teachers have a blast using Max to help their kiddos learn and the children love him too!

Thank you for stopping by!
