This week at The Academy Of Gateway we have been all about sensory art. We had a great painting activity with marshmallows! Exploring different mediums to paint with can be a great activity for little ones, especially if it involves food! This marshmallow painting activity allows children to swirl, squish, and create one of a kind masterpieces! They also loved being able to taste the clean ones as well!
This week at The Academy Of Gateway we have been all about the snow! The kids have loved all the activities they have done with the snow. Snow is a great sensory activity. Playing in the snow provides children with unrestricted space and endless opportunities to stimulate their play, learning and physical development. Wrapping up warm to play with friends and family in the snow gives children memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Here at The Academy Of Gateway we have been ready for the snow this week! Tiny crystals of ice that fall to earth are called snow. A crystal is a solid substance that has flat surfaces and sharp corners. Snowfall is made up of both single ice crystals and clumps of ice crystals. The clumps are called snowflakes. As we move into the new year we are so excited for the cold weather. We have been working on our snowflakes!
