Construction Zone Week

This week at The Academy of Gateway we celebrated Construction zone week. We started our week out building a bulldozer with random shapes, then we colored magic construction trucks, next we played with muddy trucks, and lastly, we used tools like construction workers to paint a masterpiece! We had so much fun this week pretending to be construction workers!

 

Chopped Jr.

 This week at The Academy of Gateway we celebrated chopped jr.! On Monday we created a fruit pizza for PM snack, on Tuesday we made our own personal pizzas for lunch, we were able to choose our toppings and bake our pizzas.

 On Wednesday we had a snack mix bar and created our own snack mix bowls, on Thursday we painted with Tri-color pasta, and on Friday we dressed up as chefs and made watermelon art! We had so much fun getting to be our own chefs and creating our own meals. Way to go AOG kids!

Mad Scientist Week!

 

 This week at The Academy of Gateway we celebrated Mad Scientist Week! We started our week out with a fun coke experiment where we put mentos in coke and watch it explode. On Tuesday we explored with the light tables, on Wednesday we walked on eggs to see if they would break, on Thursday we painted with magnets, and on Friday Mr. Bond the Science Guy came to show us all of his cool science experiments!

All About The Arts

 

This week at The Academy of Gateway we celebrated "All About the Arts Week". We started this week out with Tie- Dyeing our own shirts, on Tuesday we painted with bubbles, on Wednesday all of our friends were able to take home their very own Art kits and become Picasso, on Thursday we had fun at water day. We ended our week with a visit from a talented ventriloquist. Our teachers had a blast doing all the fun activities, some classrooms talked about paint mixing, while another class had their own "Painting with a twist" class, they had sparkling grape juice to drink and painted whatever their heart desired. 

Just Imagine Week!

This week at The Academy of Gateway we celebrated Just Imagine Week. We had a magical week and did all sorts of fun things. First, we started the week off with Bruce the Magician, we had a Disney dress up day where all our friends could dress up as their favorite Disney character, we had a blast during bounce house day, and ended our week with our Mardi Gras Masquerade Prom for our rising Kindergarteners.
