Class Of 2021!

Today we are celebrating our class of 2021! Some have been with us since birth while others joined this year. While we are happy to send them off into the world we are sad to see them go. How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard! These great kiddos have all the tools to succeed. All About The Arts Week!

This week at The Academy Of Gateway we have loved all about The Arts! Artistic activities foster intellectual development and some of their benefits are: Stimulates both sides of the brain. Increases the capacity of memory, attention and concentration. Helps develop reading skills and children do better in math and science. Introduces children to new vocabulary and concepts.

Lego Land Week!

Using LEGO bricks is the perfect opportunity for building fine motor skills! Children love the thrill of building and they can do this for hours, building up strong little muscles in their hands that will help them do other skills, such as learn to write. Because they come in all different shapes & sizes, Legos are a great manipulative way to work a child's fingers. Children will develop dexterity, muscle control and pressure awareness. Legos translate into understanding of other subjects & skills. Legos can be used as tools for lessons in math, science and language.

Mr. Bond The Science Guy

This week we have been all about science! Science education activities provide children with opportunities to develop and practice many different skills and attributes. These include communication skills, collaborative skills, team working and perseverance, as well as analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
