Lots of Learning at AoG!

Learning at a young age plays a vital role in shaping a child's mind. Each day in our classrooms, we focus on nurturing cognitive, language, and social and emotional development through meaningful stories, engaging activities, and positive interactions with teachers and peers. It's truly rewarding to witness your children grow, explore, and build the foundations for lifelong language. 

In our Pre-K one class, the children participated in a fun, hands-on math activity placing the correct number of insects on the matching numbered leaf. This is not only reinforced number recognition and counting skills but also encouraged fine motor development and critical thinking. It's always a joy to see their young minds engaged and excited to learn. 

Our Prek two did a fun hands-on math activity with UNO cards as well. 

Meanwhile, in Pre-K two, our focus was on literacy. The children worked on identifying the letter I, practicing both recognition and writing skills. They were excited to find the letter in words and begin forming it on their own! 

In Ps3, the class had fun identifying how many frogs were hiding among the rocks and matching that number to the correct number cards. It was a playful and engaging way to practice counting and number recognition. 

These girls also had fun recognizing the letters om their names and creating colorful name caterpillars, helping build letter awareness and personal connection to literacy.

 

Every bunny needs some bunny sometimes

Pajama Day is clearly a favorite here at the academy! It's the perfect way to de-stress, get comfy, and break from the usual routine. With cozy vibes all around, it fosters a positive relaxed atmosphere our friends love! 

We welcomed spring with a special visit from Mother Goose! She shared her fun facts and wisdom about pollination and all kinds of bugs and insects- but the real highlight? Singing and dancing together! What a magical way to kick off the season! 

We love ending the day with a little treat for our friends at pick-up time! With Easter around the corner, our Bunny Bait Grab-n-go snacks were a no-brainer-sweet, festive and full of LOVE! 

Every year our easter egg hunt gets bigger and better- and this year was egg-ceptional! Our friends had a blast hunting for eggs and filling their baskets to the brim. Shoutout to PK1 for bringing in a whopping 926 eggs egg-stra impressive 

Egg hunts aren't just fun- they're full of developmental benefits too! From boosting physical activity to encouraging problem solving and social interaction, our little ones had a blast while learning through play. It's all egg-tra beneficial. 

The Easter bunny hopped on down to the Academy this week, spreading smiles, giggles, and a little springtime magic along the way! 

Some-bunny loves our teachers! We had an egg-stra fun time putting together these sweet Easter surprises to show our appreciation, Hoppy Easter! 

PK2 got buggy with it during story time! We read all about the creepy crawlies to celebrate spring in full bloom. Learning had never been so buzz-worthy! 

Bye Bye March!

Goodbye March, Hello April! We had so much fun in the month of march from rainbow yogurt cups to winning a fun basket for the leprechaun trap contest! 

Our friend in PK1 had the most votes on her leprechaun trap she made; she won this fun basket for spring full of goodies! 

Man oh man, did our friends show out for St. Patty's day wearing all the green!

We like to do fun things with our teachers. One Woot Woot Wednesday we gave our teachers lottery tickets.

Our teachers even joined in the fun with matching St. Patty shirts on March 17! 

Look at who made an appearance for a Bluey Dance party at the Academy! 

We of course had to do a punch a cup for a woot woot Wednesday for our teachers. It ranged from amazon gift cards, gold candy, and a lucky chance for a winning lottery ticket!
