Spooky Fun, and Thankful Hearts!

October wrapped up with plenty of spooky fun here at The Academy of Gateway! Our little learners got into the Halloween spirit with spooky sock day, showing off their spookiest socks around the classroom. We also took our learning outdoors with a Jack-o'-Lantern jump activity, where our friends hopped along colorful chalk pumpkins. To make Halloween night even more special, we had our grab and glow event at pickup. A bright and fun surprise to light up the evening for our little trick-or-treaters. As November began, we jumped right into traditions! This week we started our Disguise a Turkey family competition, encouraging creativity as families work together to create a turkey. We can't wait to see all the creativity!

Our students also took time to show gratitude and kindness by creating heartfelt Veterans Day cards to honor and thank those who served our country. To carry that spirit of gratitude through the month, we've started our school-wide Thankful Tree! Each family is adding colorful leaves filled with what each family is Thankful for. It's quickly becoming a beautiful reminder of how much we have to celebrate and appreciate. We love seeing our school community come together for fun, creativity, and kindness, it's what makes the Academy such a special place to learn and grow!
