When asked "How was you day?" even as adults we mainly give one word answers but what if you really want to know more? Keeping open communication in a family is very important and it is a good idea to start this young as a family tradition. You could even make this a family game by writing a question down on a notecard and letting each family member draw a card and answer the question. Here are some ideas of questions to ask:
What made you laugh today?
What did you love/ loathe today?
What did you learn today?
Who is your favorite person to sit by in class?
What's you favorite thing about your teacher?
