Exploring The Benefits of Sensory Play

This weeks focus in The Power of Sensory.  Our children learn and explore their world through the five senses.
It is critical for brain development. It helps build nerve connections in the brain, encourages the development of motor skills, supports language development and encourages scientific thinking and problem solving.

Sensory Play for babies:
Watching bubbles and feeling them land on their skin.
Scrunching paper and hearing the noise and seeing the shape change.
Feeling dirt and grass.



Sensory for Toddlers:
Creating light and shadows with a flash light
Mixing paint and observing the color and texture
Creating Scent-sory bottles for them to experience different smells
Examining a leaf



Sensory for Preschoolers:
Playdough,creating shapes and textures
Playing with musical instruments and listening to the different tones and pitches
