Valentine's Day Crafts

Here at The Academy of Gateway we are getting ready for Valentine's Day! We are loving all of the decorations and art projects hanging up in our building and classrooms. With Valentine's Day right around the corner I wanted to find fun activities that you and your family can do at home. :)

It's a Draw

Have old crayons laying around?  Turn old
crayon bits into a nifty  Valentine favor or
gift by baking them in silicone heart molds.
Kids can fill the molds to create their
own marbleized patterns.

Love Bugs

Almost too cute to eat! Put out the supplies
at your Valentine party for these little love
bug treats and let kids decorate their
own marshmallow critters.

 Coming Up Roses
The bottom of celery stalks get a second
life when used as rose stamps.

 Tiny Valentine
Great valentines come in small packages
with these adorable matchbox valentines.
Your kid can help by sorting the sweets,
choosing fun craft paper to wrap up her
tiny delights and adding her illustrations.

Grow to Love

All you need for this keepsake project is
finger paint and some wee hands. His
forearm imprint makes the trunk, a hand
print forms the branches and tiny thumbprints
make the heart-shaped leaves.
