At one month, babies can lift their heads briefly when placed on their tummies. By the end of the second month, babies can hold their heads for a few seconds. By the end of the third month, babies can lift their head and chest and hold the position for several seconds. Our teachers in Infant 1 placed each child in front of a mirror to help them develop strong neck muscles as well as discuss what they saw in the mirror.
