March has been full of excitement, imagination, and school spirit! Our Read Across America Week was an absolute blast, and our Preschool friends had so much fun celebrating the joy of books in creative ways.
We kicked the week off with Crazy Sock Day, and our classrooms were filled with the most colorful, silly, and mismatched socks you could imagine. Our friends loved showing off their fun styles while talking about their favorite stories.
Next came Twin Day inspired by Thing 1 and Thing 2! Many of our friends paired up with their best buddies to match, and we even had one creative group add a Thing 3 to the mix how fun is that?! Seeing the children celebrate friendship and teamwork made the day extra special.
As the week continued, we tipped our hats to reading with Favorite Hat Day, followed by Favorite Sunglasses Day to remind us that reading makes our futures bright. Our Preschool friends looked so cool rocking their shades while enjoying storytime and classroom activities.
We wrapped up Read Across America Week with a tasty and playful treat: One Fish, Two Fish Goldfish Grab-and-Go Snacks. It was the perfect way to end a week full of books, laughter, and learning.
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, the fun kept going! Our classrooms jumped right into the festive spirit with shamrock crafts, and every class gathered to hear the story “How to Catch a Leprechaun.” The children loved imagining where those sneaky leprechauns might be hiding.
We also explored a colorful rainbow STEM activity, encouraging our friends to experiment, problem solve, and learn through hands-on discovery. To add to the magic, students even went home with tasty leprechaun bait to see if they could attract a mischievous visitor overnight!
One of the biggest highlights was digging for gold in our sensory activities. The excitement on their faces as they searched for hidden treasures was priceless. Inspired by our book, we circled back and worked together to design and build our very own class leprechaun traps, putting our creativity and engineering skills to the test.
Today we’re finishing the celebration in true St. Patrick’s Day fashion! Everyone came dressed in green, and our classrooms are full of festive St. Patrick’s Day parties as we celebrate being a bunch of lucky little lads and lasses.
From reading adventures to rainbow discoveries, March has truly been packed with learning, laughter, and lots of fun. π✨
